On Tuesday, 18th December, three DTU Lys board members engaged in an outreach activity to a 9th grade primary school within the municipality. They were equipped with The Optics Suitcase from OSA with the purpose of enlightening the young minds. 90 minutes of curiosity, fascination, questions, and fun ensued. The students were very thrilled by the demonstrations and hands-on experimentations they had with lasers, lenses, grating slits, polarizer plates, they even investigated the stress on plastic forks. At the end of the events, the students were given Rainbow pinholes, Magic patch, a copy of the Periodic table and polarizers - as takeaways to play with.
