• 3Shape
• First year students visit DTU Fotonik. LU paid for pizzas and beers, we did a small intro.

Follow up from last meeting’s points

• Grants (all)
  • SPIE: Nothing to do until end-of-year report (maybe not). Simon and Neethu dives deeper into the vaults of information.
  • EPS: Second deadline for this year’s grant is in June
  • OSA: Everything is sent in January.

• Getting people to sign up to keep us in good standing (Abu)
  • Neethu and Simon will try to get SPIE members affiliated with the chapter. We should do the same for OSA and EPS.

• Slide clicker (Manoj)
  • Manoj is not present. I don’t think he has bought one. Abu, Kyei and Mikkel will evict him from the office until he buys one.

• High school visits (Mikkel and Simon)
  • Mikkel’s old teacher was not impressed.
  • Simon’s old teacher was: 1-2 people from the chapter go to Birkerød gymnasium.
  • Either 2.G or 3.G, preferably in January, and with demonstration experiments.
  • Ideas: Couple red laser into fiber. Telescope? Niels’ OCT system? FWM? Balloon blowing.

Barbeque event in June (Daena is in charge!)

• New date, 7^th of June is occupied by a section event in NLO section. Daena is not here either, but should be back next week. We will talk to Daena next week regarding: Grills, date and food. Fotonik needs more grills.

New webpage. OSA is stopping service in June, so we need to find a solution soon.

• DTU page is up (!!!) but we don’t have access. Manoj will assist Martin in using SiteCore to edit the page.
• Change IONS Scandinavia Facebook page to DTU Lys Facebook page.

Brainstorm ideas for events after summer

• Abu (et al.) are arranging 2 talks before summer (Mikkel Lotz’ examiner, Angela (…) from Nottingham))
• Perhaps Erik Christensens examiner (Neethu is in charge of deciding)
• Career workshop?
• Lunch with industry?
  • YES! Microsoft, TERMA, anything else?
    
    
• Social day (of course)
• Laser Khet tournament?
  • Something social. Laser Khet tournament/FUNLight 2.0
    
    
• School visits?
  • Abu and Frederik. Preferably in September/October before it gets too cold. Abu talks to Charlotte before she leaves.
  • Apply for optics suitcase from SPIE (and possible OSA?)
    
    
• IONS???
  • We should consider applying for IONS again. Most of us will be gone, but we should consider anyway.
